Jeopardy

I think JeopardyLabs is a great tool for teachers. Jeopardy games are a fun and engaging way to introduce or review subject matter.  I enjoyed creating my Jeopardy game based on America.  It was very time consuming, but not as time consuming as using PowerPoint.  Plus, it is nice that answer slides are automatically linked up to the question slide.  Getting back to the home slide is simple as well.  Creating this in PowerPoint would have required several links, making it potentially confusing to make. I think it would be a relevant activity for students to create their own Jeopardy questions for a unit of study or end of the year review. I like that JeoparyLabs are stored online, accessible at any time.
ISTE/NETS
2a. design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.  Teacher generated Jeopardy games can promote student learning, however, student generated Jeopardy games promote both student learning and creativity.
2d. provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching. Jeopardy and other games are  a great way to assess if students have mastered a unit of study.  Or they can be used as a pre-assessment before a unit is begun.
3a. demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations. Having used several Jeopardy game templates, I easily transfered my knowledge of constructing a  Jeopordy game to JeopardyLabs.
